Job Description:
We are seeking an Electrician to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical installation, repair and maintenance activities in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in the electrical trade and possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Training opportunities may be available for candidates without prior experience.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent certification
• Ability to read blueprints accurately
• Working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical skills to identify problems quickly and efficiently
• Excellent problem-solving skills

Job Responsibilities:
• Install electrical wiring systems, fixtures, outlets, meters and other related equipment according to applicable codes.
• Plan layout of electrical wiring systems according to blueprints or other specifications.
• Inspect existing installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations or codes.
• Repair malfunctioning systems or components using hand tools or power tools.
• Test electrical systems or components for continuity using test equipment such as ohmmeters, voltmeters or oscilloscopes.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities by keeping detailed notes of repairs made and parts used in the course of each job assignment.

Working Conditions:
This position requires standing, bending, kneeling and working at heights of up to 20 feet above ground level on ladders or scaffolding on a regular basis in all types of weather conditions. The successful candidate must possess the physical strength needed to move heavy equipment around worksites safely. This position also carries some risk of danger due to potential exposure to live electrical current during certain repairs so candidates should be comfortable working with electricity in hazardous environments under safe practices outlined by the NEC standards.
