The ideal candidate will have several years of experience working as a truck driver and will have proven themselves to be reliable and dependable. In this role you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty trucks used for transporting goods between locations. You will plan routes utilizing GPS systems or other navigational aids; inspect vehicles before departure; monitor loading/unloading of cargo; drive safely while obeying all traffic laws; maintain delivery logs; report any mechanical or safety issues encountered during route; and ensure timely arrival of shipments at destination points.
To qualify for this position you must possess at least three years of experience operating heavy-duty trucks; possess valid driverβs license with no major infractions on your record; pass a background check & drug test prior to employment; have excellent customer service skills; good understanding of navigation systems & area roads; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; excellent written & verbal communication skills in English & Arabic (preferred); current CPR/First Aid certification (preferred); ability to work independently or part of a team; knowledge of relevant safety regulations & procedures; and an understanding of the local culture & customs.
