He or she will be expected to develop and implement efficient and cost-effective engineering solutions to ensure that all operations run smoothly. The Petroleum Engineer will also be expected to monitor safety regulations, environmental regulations, and risk management policies related to the oil and gas industry.

The successful candidate must have excellent knowledge of drilling and production methods, as well as experience in designing systems, analyzing data, developing plans, providing technical support, and managing projects. In addition, he or she must have excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, decision making skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and technical writing abilities.
