The Sommelier must possess strong communication skills, and be able to explain wines to customers in order to increase sales. They must also stay current on new trends and developments in the industry, and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of new releases and labels.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to create memorable experiences for clients by recommending great pairings of food and wine. They should also have a thorough understanding of local laws and regulations surrounding the sale of alcohol.
