Job Summary
We are looking to hire an experienced Civil Engineer for a major construction project in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire civil engineering process, from conceptualization and design to completion. Responsibilities
- Designing structural elements and systems for construction projects, such as bridges, roads, drainage systems, and other related structures
- Preparing plans, drawings, and specifications for civil engineering projects
- Conducting site inspections and surveys to identify potential environmental concerns
- Ensuring that all safety regulations are followed during construction
- Overseeing the installation of equipment and materials related to civil engineering projects
- Ensuring that all work is completed on schedule and within budget
- Assisting in the development of project bids and contracts
- Monitoring progress onsite and making adjustments as necessary
- Liaising with contractors, suppliers, engineers, architects, surveyors, public officials, and other stakeholders involved in a project
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering or related field
- Professional certification preferred (e.g. Professional Engineer)
- At least 5 years of experience working in civil engineering projects or related field
- Extensive knowledge of industry standards and building codes
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders involved in a project
