As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining civil engineering projects such as bridges, roads, dams, buildings, and other structures. You should have a deep understanding of building materials, construction techniques and mechanical principles. You must also be knowledgeable in relevant regulations and standards of the construction industry.

Your primary responsibilities include:
• Developing plans for civil engineering projects
• Designing structural components such as foundations and columns
• Calculating the load capacity of structural components
• Supervising the construction process to ensure safety standards are met
• Assessing environmental factors that may influence the design
• Preparing cost estimates for construction projects
• Testing completed projects to ensure quality standards are met
• Ensuring all relevant regulations are met when constructing structures.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
• At least two years of experience in civil engineering design or related field • Knowledgeable in relevant regulations and standards for construction industry • Excellent problem solving skills with strong attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently or part of a team • Proficiency with AutoCAD software is preferred • Ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
