The main duties and responsibilities of this role will include:
• Welding components in flat, vertical or overhead positions;
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings to determine the specific welding requirements;
• Preparing materials for welding by grinding, cutting or cleaning surfaces as necessary;
• Monitoring the fitting, burning and welding processes to avoid problems such as warping or shrinking of materials;
• Carrying out quality checks on finished products;
• Maintaining accurate records of completed jobs.
