Librarian Job - Zayed City
We are looking for an experienced librarian to join our team in Zayed City. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our library and its resources. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, and good written and spoken communication skills.
Job Summary
The librarian will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the library, including managing resources, cataloging books, handling catalog requests, and providing assistance to patrons. The librarian also needs to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
β’ Maintain accurate records of library inventory
β’ Assist patrons in locating materials
β’ Manage library circulation system
β’ Ensure accuracy in cataloguing materials
β’ Prepare presentations for patrons
β’ Process payments for fines or other fees
β’ Resolve customer service issues in a professional manner
β’ Develop new programming initiatives to increase library usage
Skills & Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree or higher in Library Science or related field preferred
β’ 3+ years of experience working as a librarian
β’ Excellent customer service skills
β’ Excellent organizational skills
β’ Strong written & communication abilities
β’ Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
