Librarian Job - Zayed City
We are looking for an experienced librarian to join our team in Zayed City. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our library and its resources. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, and good written and spoken communication skills.
Job Summary
The librarian will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the library, including managing resources, cataloging books, handling catalog requests, and providing assistance to patrons. The librarian also needs to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate records of library inventory
• Assist patrons in locating materials
• Manage library circulation system
• Ensure accuracy in cataloguing materials
• Prepare presentations for patrons
• Process payments for fines or other fees
• Resolve customer service issues in a professional manner
• Develop new programming initiatives to increase library usage
Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Library Science or related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience working as a librarian
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong written & communication abilities
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
