Optometrist Job in Doha

We are looking for an enthusiastic Optometrist to join our team in Doha. Our company provides a high-quality and comprehensive range of eye care services, so we are looking for an experienced professional who can help us provide the best care to our patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for examining eyes and diagnosing vision problems, prescribing corrective lenses or treatments, discussing health-related issues with patients, and providing advice on how to maintain healthy vision.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Greet patients upon arrival and provide them with the necessary information about their appointments
• Examine eyes using specialized equipment such as an ophthalmoscope, retinoscope or phoropter
• Check for signs of eye diseases or other conditions such as glaucoma or cataracts
• Measure visual acuity (ability to see clearly at different distances)
• Prescribe corrective lenses (glasses or contact lenses) based on patient’s needs
• Monitor patient’s progress after treatment
• Provide counsel on how to maintain healthy vision habits
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in optometry technologies

Educational Requirements:
Optometrists typically need a Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school. In addition, they must obtain licensure in the state they plan to practice in before they can begin their careers. This usually requires passing written and practical exams.

Qualifications:
• Proven work experience as an Optometrist • In-depth knowledge of optometric techniques • Familiarity with eye diseases diagnosis and treatment • Good understanding of common medications related to eye care • Ability to explain complex medical terms in a simple manner • Exceptional communication skills with both colleagues and patients • Excellent organizational skills • Ability to build trustful relationships with patients • Professional attitude and appearance
