Librarian in Dubai, UAE


We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate must have a strong background in Library Science and be capable of managing a diverse range of library resources.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. They should also be comfortable working with computers and library technology.

Responsibilities include:
• Creating, organizing, and maintaining the library's catalogs, collections, and databases
• Ensuring that all new materials are properly cataloged, classified, and stored
• Keeping up to date with the latest developments in library science and technology
• Providing reference services to patrons
• Assisting users with locating information through the library’s resources
• Developing outreach activities to promote the library’s services within the community
• Planning special events such as lectures or book discussions
• Working closely with other departments to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field is required
• Professional experience as a librarian is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work well with other staff members and patrons of all ages
• Excellent problem-solving skills

This is a full-time role offering 1700 AED per month salary plus benefits. We are open to considering applications from immigrants who meet the necessary qualifications.
