We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Civil Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design and implementation of a variety of civil engineering projects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Developing detailed plans and designs for civil engineering projects including roads, bridges, buildings, airports and other infrastructure.
• Conducting research into existing structures and infrastructure to assess their structural integrity.
• Monitoring construction activities on site to ensure quality control.
• Collaborating with other engineers and specialists to develop civil engineering projects.
• Complying with safety regulations and standards at all times.
• Liaising with local authorities regarding planning applications and building regulations.
• Testing materials used in construction for their suitability for the job.
• Creating reports and presentations based on collected data from site visits or laboratory tests.
• Writing up technical specifications for materials and equipment used in civil engineering projects.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field as well as a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills as well as strong communication skills both written and verbal. Knowledge of CAD (Computer Aided Design) is also necessary in order to produce accurate drawings of proposed structures or existing sites that need inspection or repairs. Additionally, the successful candidate should be highly organized, reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision when required. Salary is negotiable depending on experience but is expected to be around 1200 QAR per month plus benefits such as health insurance, travel expenses etc.. We are willing to consider foreign candidates for this role too!
