Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare speciality coffees following recipes provided by the roastery
• Interact with customers daily using strong customer service skills
• Ensure that equipment is properly cleaned, maintained and stored
• Keep up-to-date with news from the coffee industry by attending workshops or reading relevant material
• Monitor stock levels of products such as coffee beans, syrups or other ingredients used for drinks
• Suggest new recipes or flavours based on customer feedback
• Keep a record of daily sales at the end of each shift
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
• A genuine passion for coffee is essential
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
• Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent customer service skills
