The Mason will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Constructing and repairing walls, floors, and ceilings using masonry materials such as bricks, blocks, concrete and stone
- Reading blueprints or other technical designs to determine the type of material needed
- Cutting and shaping materials according to specification
- Building structures such as arches or fireplaces
- Installing or repairing chimneys, roofs, or interior features like fireplaces
- Applying waterproofing sealants on structures
- Applying protective coverings on completed projects

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience as mason or in a related field
- Knowledge of construction techniques when using masonry materials such as bricks, concrete blocks, stones etc.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately
- Ability to work with precision using specialized tools (e.g. plumb bobs) - Good physical condition and strength with capacity for repetitive movements (e.g. mixing mortar) - Attention to safety precautions when working at high elevations
