Optometrist Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Optometrist to join our team in Doha. Our practice is dedicated to providing quality eye care services to the local community. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for examining patients’ eyes to diagnose and treat any vision-related issues. You will use specialized equipment such as lenses, biometers and visual field testers, among other tools, to examine and evaluate patients’ eyesight. You will also provide preventative care through screenings and tests, offer advice on vision correction options and recommend suitable eyewear products for our customers.

Responsibilities
• Examine patients’ eyes using specialized instruments such as lenses, biometers and visual field testers
• Diagnose vision-related issues such as myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism
• Provide preventative care through screenings and tests
• Recommend suitable eyewear products such as glasses or contact lenses
• Offer advice on vision correction options such as surgery or laser therapy
• Monitor patients’ progress over time using appropriate follow-up tests
• Educate patients on how best to care for their eyes
• Maintain accurate records of examinations

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Optometry or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience working as an Optometrist within a healthcare setting
• Extensive knowledge of ophthalmic instruments and procedures
• Ability to make quick decisions based on sound judgment
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with patients
