Job Description:
The Electrician will be responsible for inspecting, installing, testing and repairing electrical systems in accordance with safety regulations. This may include working on motors, transformers, generators, switches and other electrical components. The Electrician must also be able to read blueprints or technical diagrams to determine the correct installation of electrical equipment. Other responsibilities include:
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
• Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
• Install control instruments, programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or other electronic components as needed
• Inspecting existing wiring systems and identifying potential issues or hazards
• Ensure that all installations comply with relevant safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
• Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred but not essential
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role is required
• Working knowledge of electrical schematics • Ability to use a variety of hand tools including wire strippers, pliers etc. • Knowledge of national codes and regulations related to the installation of electrical equipment • Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently • Good interpersonal skills
