Job Summary

We are looking to hire an experienced and enthusiastic Librarian to join our team in Dubai. This position offers a competitive salary of 1100 AED per month and is open to immigrants who are ready to take on the challenge. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing, cataloging, preserving and lending library materials like books, magazines, videos, CDs and other resources.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate library activities such as book selection and ordering, cataloging material, providing reference service and reader’s advisory services
• Maintain records of circulation
• Create displays to promote library materials
• Train staff in the use of library materials and technologies
• Supervise volunteers in library activities
• Participate in collection development activities such as selecting books for the library collection
• Develop policies for the public use of the library's resources
• Provide information about available resources for research purposes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred; experience with Library Systems is a plus
• Knowledge of computer systems used in libraries (e.g., Integrated Library Systems)
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel)
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: 1100 AED Per Month
