We are looking for an experienced Fitter to join our team in Hawalli. This position offers a salary of 1700 and we are open to consider foreign candidates for the role.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a technical field, such as mechanical engineering or equivalent. They should also have experience working with different kinds of machinery and equipment, as well as ability to read technical drawings and plans. The applicant must have an understanding of health and safety regulations, as well as a good level of physical fitness.

The main responsibility of the Fitter will be to assemble, install, maintain and repair machinery and equipment. They will be required to use hand tools and power tools to assemble machinery parts, diagnose faults in machinery, carry out repairs, adjust settings on machines, follow safety instructions when using machinery, record details of work completed and order replacement parts when necessary. In addition to this they may be required to carry out inspections on other workers’ work, train new staff members on the proper use of equipment or liaise with suppliers about ordering replacement components for machines.

The successful candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure and adhere to deadlines when completing tasks. They should also have excellent communication skills in order to effectively interact with team members, suppliers and customers when necessary.
