Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Psychiatrist to join our team in Doha, Qatar. You will be responsible for providing the highest quality of mental health care for our patients and their families. You should have excellent clinical skills and experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychosis and behavioral issues. You must be able to develop effective treatment plans for individual cases and provide psychological counseling to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

The Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health care services in accordance with professional standards and local regulations. This includes conducting initial evaluations and assessments of patients’ mental health condition; creating personalized treatment plans; providing individual, group or family therapy; prescribing medications as needed; performing regular follow-up visits; conducting research on various mental health topics; giving presentations at workshops or seminars; and participating in relevant committees or boards. The Psychiatrist will also be expected to document patient progress notes as well as provide guidance on dealing with social or emotional problems.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must have a medical degree (MD) in psychiatry from an accredited university, with board certification/certification examinations preferred. Additionally, they should have at least 5 years of experience working as a Psychiatrist, preferably in a clinical setting. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written), organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for this role, as well as the ability to work independently or collaborate with other professionals when needed. Candidates must also be proficient in all major computer software applications related to medical practice management systems such as Electronic Health Records (EHR).

Salary: 1100 QAR/month
