Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Fitter to join our team in Sabah. In this role, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair services to our various equipment and facilities. You should be able to work independently, as well as part of a team, in order to ensure the upkeep of our equipment. You should also have excellent troubleshooting skills in order to diagnose and resolve any problems that may arise. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, have good communication skills, and have the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities:
• Install new equipment, make modifications or repairs on existing equipment/facilities according to operational needs.
• Maintain accurate records of service logs, invoices and other documentation related to maintenance activities.
• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical components for faults or signs of wear and tear.
• Perform safety inspections of tools and equipment prior to use.
• Follow established safety protocols when working with hazardous materials or in potentially dangerous areas.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to maintenance activities.
• Other duties as assigned by management or supervisor.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; trade/technical school certification is preferred.
• At least two years of experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of industrial tools and machinery is required; knowledge of electrical systems a plus but not necessary.
• Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints, schematics etc., is preferred but not necessary.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes quickly and effectively is essential for this role.
