Librarian - Ras Al Khaimah (Salary 1500 AED/Month)

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational and communication skills, a passion for books and reading, and be computer literate. This role will involve maintaining the library collections, providing assistance to library patrons, and managing library technology such as databases.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
• At least 3 years of experience as a Librarian or in a related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of library systems and procedures
• Familiarity with current technologies used in libraries
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Responsibilities:
• Maintain library collections by ordering new materials, organizing existing materials, cataloging items, etc.
• Assist patrons with research needs by providing reference services; help patrons locate materials in the library.
• Manage circulation of materials by tracking loans and ensuring timely return of borrowed items.
• Manage library technology such as databases; ensure accuracy of data entry.
• Assist in developing programs for children, teens, adults; provide instructional classes on topics such as computer literacy or book clubs.
• Maintain accurate records of library activities such as attendance at events or number of materials checked out.
