Position: Sommelier, Dubai

We are a luxury hotel in Dubai looking for an experienced sommelier to join our team. The successful candidate will have a passion for wine and must possess the knowledge and expertise to advise our customers on the best wine selections.

Responsibilities:
• Provide excellent customer service when recommending and serving wines.
• Keep up to date with current trends in the wines available and be able to suggest appropriate varieties.
• Ensure proper storage of wine, including temperature control and rotation of stock.
• Maintain accurate records of stock and sales.
• Assist with ordering, pricing, and inventory management of wines.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Deal promptly and courteously with any customer complaints or queries regarding wines.
• Attend tastings and educational events as required by the hotel management team.

Requirements:
• Must be 21+ years old & hold a valid UAE work permit (immigrant candidates welcome).
• A minimum of two years’ experience working as a sommelier in a restaurant or hotel setting is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of wines, spirits, liqueurs, beers & non-alcoholic beverages is necessary.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is essential.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal & written are essential for this role.

Salary: 1000 AED per month
