Job Title: Librarian
Location: Dubai
Salary: 1600 AED per month

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Librarian in Dubai. The successful candidate will work with a team of library professionals to ensure the library is run efficiently and effectively. This role requires someone with an aptitude for customer service and an interest in technology.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure library resources are managed and organized properly
• Provide assistance to patrons looking for specific materials or information
• Assist in developing library policies and procedures
• Process various media types, such as books, audio-visual materials, DVDs, etc., for circulation to patrons
• Assist patrons with access to digital resources, such as databases and e-books
• Monitor the circulation desk, answer phones, respond to emails and other correspondence from patrons
• Assist with cataloging of materials using established library protocols
• Manage library bookings and reservations for groups or individuals
• Monitor the budget for library supplies and equipment

Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field preferred but not required
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Proficient computer skills; ability to use online databases & e-books software
• Knowledge of cataloging systems (e.g. MARC) is preferred but not required
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
