Accountant - Doha, Qatar

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accountant in Doha, Qatar to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting operations, including but not limited to accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong organizational skills and experience in the field of accounting. This position offers a competitive salary of 1500QAR per month.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare, review and analyze financial statements and other financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with established guidelines.
• Monitor accounts receivable/payable activities to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Handle cash management tasks such as preparing bank deposits, reconciling bank accounts, preparing journal entries and recording transactions in the general ledger.
• Manage payroll functions by ensuring accurate processing of salaries, wages, bonuses, benefits deductions and other related tasks.
• Develop internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.
• Investigate discrepancies between invoices or other documents related to finance transactions.
• Work on projects related to budgeting, forecasting or other special assignments as required by management.
• Assist with external audits when necessary.
• Perform any other related tasks assigned by management from time to time.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance field is required; Master’s degree is preferred; Professional certification (CPA/CA/ACCA) is an advantage
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting position; experience in similar role within Qatar is preferred
• Knowledge of Qatar taxation laws & regulations; understanding of IFRS standards is an advantage
• Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload in deadline-driven environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Total fluency in English language (verbal & written)
