Job Title: Optometrist
Location: Khawr Fakkan, United Arab Emirates
Salary: 1200 AED per month
Experience Requirement: 2 years' experience in optometry
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced optometrist to join our team in Khawr Fakkan, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive eye examinations and assessments of patients’ vision needs, as well as diagnose and treat eye diseases.
Responsibilities include:
• Perform comprehensive eye examinations on patients of all ages, including refraction and visual acuity testing.
• Diagnose, manage and treat various eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration.
• Evaluate the need for contact lenses or glasses, prescribe corrective lenses and monitor the effects.
• Explain test results to patients and their families in a clear manner.
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Stay abreast of advancements in optometry through continuing education courses.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Optometry or equivalent certification from a recognized institution.
• 2+ years of experience as an optometrist or ophthalmologist is preferred.
• Ability to explain complex topics to patients clearly and concisely.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Proficiency with medical software systems (EMR).
