Job Description:
The Merchandiser will be responsible for ensuring that products are displayed in an attractive and effective way in order to maximize sales. This includes creating displays, stocking shelves, restocking shelves and taking inventory. The Merchandiser will also be responsible for tracking inventory levels, setting up promotional displays, rotating stock and keeping track of customer purchases. The Merchandiser must ensure that merchandise is placed strategically so as to maximize sales opportunities. They should also stay up-to-date on current trends and customer preferences.
Requirements:
• A minimum of two years' experience as a merchandiser or similar role in the retail industry is essential
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Knowledge of current trends in the retail industry
• Ability to take initiative when needed
• Flexible working hours
