Job Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing projects for the construction and improvement of roads, bridges, buildings, dams and other structures
- Preparing plans, designs and drawings for civil engineering projects including calculations for sizes of materials to be used or produced
- Supervising the construction process on site to ensure that work is being done according to the design specifications in a timely manner
- Assessing potential risks associated with different civil engineering projects including safety issues as well as environmental impacts
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Ability to use CAD software and other related software applications relevant to the profession
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials used in civil engineering projects
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, laws and codes applicable to civil engineering work
