We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in El-Fujairah. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the library's collection of books, periodicals, videos, and other materials.
Requirements for the Candidate:
• Bachelor's Degree in Library Science or related field
• At least 3 years of experience working in a library
• Demonstrated proficiency in cataloguing, classifying, and indexing materials
• Basic computer literacy with knowledge of library databases
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Good customer service skills
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Acquire library materials by selecting, ordering and receiving items according to established budget guidelines.
• Cataloguing new material according to standard practices.
• Classify books according to subject matter by using a recognized classification system such as Dewey Decimal System or Library of Congress.
• Provide reference services by helping patrons locate materials or using online resources.
• Update circulation records manually or using computers.
• Monitor library usage and circulation statistics.
Salary: 1500 AED per month
