Job Summary:
Al Shamkhah City is looking for an Optometrist to join our team. The successful candidate would be responsible for examining eyes, testing visual acuity and eye health, using various diagnostic equipment and providing advice on suitable eyeglasses or contact lenses. The ideal candidate must have exceptional communication and organizational skills, as well as a commitment to providing quality care for our patients. This position offers an attractive salary of 1600 per month.

Duties:
The primary responsibility of the Optometrist is to examine eyes and test visual acuity and eye health using special diagnostic equipment such as retinoscopes, phoropters and lensometers. They also advise patients on suitable eyeglasses or contact lenses based on their findings. Other duties may include conducting eye exams for children or adults; attending regular training seminars; discussing any vision problems with the patient; referring them to relevant specialists if needed; keeping accurate records of visits; documenting results in the patient’s file; ordering supplies; keeping up to date with the latest developments in optometry technology; adhering to best practices in optometry care; maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Skills & Qualifications:
The successful candidate should hold a degree in optometry from an accredited university or college with relevant experience in the field of optometry (minimum 1-2 years preferred). They should have excellent interpersonal skills along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities. They should be able to work independently or as part of a team, have great attention to detail, be organized, detail-oriented, willing to learn new technologies quickly, have strong problem solving skills and stay up-to-date on current trends in their field of expertise.
