Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Abu-Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library and its activities.

Needs for the Candidate:
• At least a high school diploma or equivalent;
• Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office;
• Solid knowledge of library procedures and services;
• Good organizational and communication skills;
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently;
• A minimum of one year's relevant work experience is preferred but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain library collections, including books, periodicals, audio-visual materials, and other materials;
• Ensure the accuracy of library records and catalogs;
• Assist patrons with locating materials necessary for research or leisure purposes;
• Answer patron inquiries about library services, rules, and regulations;
• Create new acquisitions lists for the library’s collections;
• Manage collection maintenance activities such as weeding outdated materials from the collection and ordering new materials as needed;
• Plan special events such as book fairs, author visits, story times, etc.;

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field preferred but not required;
• Fluent in both English and Arabic language proficiency preferred but not required.
