The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role in a professional kitchen setting. They should possess excellent communication skills, be able to think on their feet and have exceptional organizational skills. They should also have an eye for detail when it comes to creating visually appealing dishes as well as great taste in both presentation and flavor profile. It is essential that they have knowledge of food cost management principles as well as health & safety regulations pertaining to the food industry.
