Job Description:

The Pharmacist will provide pharmaceutical services related to the preparation, distribution and dispensing of medications in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and professional standards. They will also be expected to exercise good judgement in providing patient care, as well as maintain accurate records of medications dispensed. The Pharmacist must be able to work both independently and collaboratively with other healthcare providers such as nurses, physicians and pharmacists.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Pharmacist will be responsible for the following duties:
• Compounding and dispensing medications as per prescriptions issued by doctors
• Ensuring safe medication usage by monitoring patient drug therapies
• Providing advice on drug information to healthcare professionals
• Maintaining proper records of all drugs dispensed
• Supervising pharmacy technicians and trainees in the area of medication dispensing
• Verifying accuracy of prescriptions filled by pharmacy technicians or interns
• Recommending therapeutic alternatives when necessary to ensure patient safety

Qualifications & Skills:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications & skills:
• Bachelor's degree or Doctorate in Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy or equivalent qualification • Valid license to practice pharmacy in Riyadh • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written • Ability to work accurately within tight deadlines • Good organizational skills • Good understanding of medicine interactions, contraindications, side effects etc. • Ability to provide excellent customer service

Education Requirements: A minimum qualification of a Bachelor's degree or Doctorate in Pharmacy from an accredited school is required for this position.
