Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will perform a variety of dental assisting duties and provide quality patient care in a professional environment. This role will be responsible for sterilizing and preparing instruments, assisting the dentist during procedures, providing patient education, and performing basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and processing payments. This position offers a competitive salary of 1400 QR per month. We are open to considering applicants from abroad who can demonstrate transferable skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The primary duties of the Dental Assistant include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, preparing the treatment area with necessary instruments, materials and supplies, taking X-rays or intra-oral photos as requested by the dentist, recording medical histories, charting patient information into computer systems, providing chairside assistance to dentists during procedures such as scaling and root planning or removing sutures. The assistant must also ensure that all instruments are sterilized properly before use and assist in infection control practices. Furthermore, they are responsible for maintaining an inventory of dental instruments and supplies while ensuring that all equipment is working properly at all times. They should also demonstrate excellent customer service skills by providing instructions on oral hygiene care for patients before leaving the office.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have at least 1 year of experience working as a Dental Assistant or in a related field such as dental hygiene or receptionist work. They must be able to communicate effectively with both patients and staff members while also demonstrating excellent organizational skills when managing office supplies or patient records. Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) is preferred but not required. Additionally, candidates should be knowledgeable about basic dental terminology and practices with a commitment to providing quality patient care at all times.
