Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and calibration of various types of instrumentation and control systems used in industrial facilities and plants.
The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of electronic components and systems with a strong background in instrumentation technologies. An ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics is also required. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as part of a larger team.
Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, adjust and calibrate process control instruments such as flow meters, pressure gauges, thermocouples, transmitters etc.
• Read blueprints or technical diagrams to understand the operation of instruments.
• Diagnose problems using test equipment such as multi-meters or oscilloscopes.
• Ensure that all safety regulations are followed when working with hazardous materials or equipment.
• Follow standard operating procedures when performing maintenance tasks or repairs.
• Perform periodic checks on instruments to ensure accuracy and optimal performance.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed on instruments or systems.
• Monitor operation of instrumentation systems to identify any potential issues or concerns with performance or accuracy.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related field preferred but not required.
• At least 3 years’ experience working in an industrial setting as an Instrument Technician
• Good understanding of electronic components & systems with a strong background in instrumentation technologies
• Ability to read & interpret electrical diagrams & schematics
• Must be detail-oriented & able to work both independently & in teams
• Excellent problem solving & troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills both verbal & written
