Librarian Vacancy in Dubai

We are searching for an experienced and qualified Librarian for our library in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library and ensuring its smooth operations. We offer a competitive salary of 1800 and are open to considering immigrant candidates.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience working as a librarian in a library setting. They should have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks is essential, as well as the ability to work on their own initiative.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the library. This includes keeping track of books, magazines, periodicals, catalogs, videos and other materials; managing staff; providing direction to patrons; creating new policies and procedures; organizing events; maintaining accurate records; handling budgeting responsibilities; ensuring compliance with all regulations related to libraries; and updating computer systems as needed.

Skills:

The successful candidate should have excellent research skills and knowledge of library operations. They should also possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of library databases such as OCLC or EBSCO is preferred but not required. Additionally, they should have strong customer service skills with the ability to respond promptly and effectively to patron inquiries.
