We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced Librarian to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the library collection, providing library services and programs to patrons, and managing the library’s daily operations.

Responsibilities:
• Organize and maintain the library collections by cataloging books, CDs, videos and other resources
• Assist patrons with reference requests, research requests, and other inquiries
• Provide instruction on how to use the library catalogue system
• Supervise student volunteers in the library
• Create displays to showcase new materials
• Manage all circulation functions including check-in/check-out of materials
• Design and implement new programs for patrons (e.g. book clubs)
• Monitor budget expenditures
• Ensure the security of all materials in the library

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field
• At least 3 years of experience working as a librarian or similar position • Knowledge of computerized catalogue systems such as Library Management Systems (LMS) • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service focus • Fluency in English is required; fluency in Arabic is an asset

Salary: 1600 AED per month. We are also willing to consider immigrant candidates.
