Job Description

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for managing and coordinating civil engineering projects, such as roads, bridges, buildings, pipelines and tunnels. The successful candidate will be expected to analyze survey reports, maps and other data to plan projects; prepare cost estimates and develop project specifications; design or review the design of structures; inspect construction sites; monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications and codes.

The Civil Engineer will also be responsible for working with other professionals such as architects, environmental engineers, surveyors and landscape architects; providing technical advice for clients; supervising the work of technicians or technologists; preparing reports and designs; conducting research into new construction materials or technologies; ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.
