Librarian Position in Dubai

We are currently seeking an experienced Librarian for a position in Dubai with a salary of 900. We are equally open to applications from both local and immigrant candidates, regardless of whether they have prior experience or not.

Requirements for the Role

The ideal candidate for this role must possess excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. They must also be proficient in the use of library computer systems and have the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects at once. Lastly, they should have an understanding of current trends in library sciences.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role will include maintaining library databases and catalogs; organizing shelves and stacks; providing customer service for patrons; helping with book selection and circulation; maintaining library policy enforcement; organizing special events; managing interlibrary loans; assisting with book repairs; participating in fund-raising activities; researching new resources; training volunteers or interns.

Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field is required for this position. Previous experience as a librarian is preferred but not necessarily required. An understanding of library regulations is also essential, as well as being knowledgeable about current trends in the field.
