Librarian, Abu Dhabi

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library and ensuring that all operations run smoothly. This person should be creative, organized, and enjoy developing relationships with patrons.

Job Description:
• Oversee library activities and operations
• Provide instruction to patrons on how to use the library
• Maintain the library’s collection of books and other materials
• Develop policies and procedures related to library services
• Research new resources to add to the collection
• Assist with cataloging new materials into the system
• Organize events such as book readings or author visits
• Manage library budgets and expenditures

Demands for Candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field
• Previous experience working in a library setting is preferred but not required
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Knowledge of electronic information systems used in libraries • Knowledgeable about popular books, authors, and resources • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
