Job Responsibilities:

• Follow blueprints and specifications to determine the required task.
• Examine materials for defects, rust or other imperfections that could affect the weld quality.
• Prepare and set up welding machines according to specifications (e.g., selecting appropriate welding rods).
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as MIG or MAG welding.
• Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet standards or specifications.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, 1+ years of relevant experience preferred
• Knowledge of safety principles in handling hazardous materials and equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Familiarity with different types of welding techniques (e.g., MIG/MAG)
• Knowledge of metallurgy principles
