Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Optometrist to join our team at a leading eye clinic in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care, including vision tests, prescribing corrective lenses and diagnosing and treating eye diseases.

The Optometrist must have excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and provide them with the highest quality of care. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in the latest medical technology and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
• Examine the eyes to detect visual defects and diseases, using ophthalmoscopes, test lenses, and other diagnostic instruments.
• Prescribe corrective lenses or vision therapy exercises as necessary.
• Diagnose and treat eye diseases, such as glaucoma and cataracts.
• Perform minor surgical procedures such as removing foreign bodies from the eye or repairing damaged eyelids.
• Educate patients about contact lens use or vision therapy exercises.
• Maintain patient records detailing diagnoses, treatments, medications, exams, referrals, follow-up visits, and other pertinent information.
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists if further treatment is needed beyond their scope of practice.
• Monitor patient progress during follow-up visits.

Requirements:
• 1+ years of experience in optometry or ophthalmology field; experience working in an optical retail setting is preferred • Knowledge of current optometric practices and procedures; familiarity with optical equipment is preferred • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals • Valid license to practice optometry in Abu Dhabi • Fluency in Arabic is preferred but not required
