Job Summary

We are searching for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Abu-Dhabi. The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of experience and a salary of 1700. We are open to considering foreign candidates for this position.

Job Responsibilities
• Manage library resources through cataloguing, organizing and maintaining accurate records
• Assist patrons with their inquiries by locating books and other materials
• Maintain the library’s electronic resources and databases
• Develop library events such as book clubs and book readings to increase awareness of the library’s collections
• Create displays to promote new materials or special collections
• Train volunteers on library policies and procedures
• Assist in the selection of new books, magazines, multimedia materials, etc.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field is preferred • At least 1 year of experience as a librarian is required • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office suite
