Position Title: Librarian
Location: Abu-Dhabi
Salary: 1200 AED

We are seeking an experienced and professional librarian for our library in Abu-Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient cataloguing and organization of library materials, as well as providing information services to library users. We are open to considering candidates with no prior experience who possess strong interpersonal skills, a passion for books and literature, and an interest in learning more about library technology systems.

The primary role of the successful librarian will involve maintaining the library's collection by ensuring that books, periodicals, multimedia materials and other documents are properly catalogued, organized, and available. This includes classifying new materials according to established standards, creating bibliographic records, updating existing records, verifying accuracy of data in catalogues and other sources of information. Additionally, the librarian will provide reference services to library patrons by helping them locate resources or material needed for research or personal use.

The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills with a proven ability to interact and build relationships with library patrons from diverse backgrounds. They should also demonstrate strong organizational skills with an eye for detail when carrying out clerical tasks such as filing documents as well as data entry into computer systems. An understanding of library technology such as cataloguing software is beneficial but not essential.
