Position: Sommelier
Location: Dubai, UAE
Salary: AED 1600/month

We are looking for a Sommelier to join our team in Dubai. As a Sommelier you will be responsible for providing knowledgeable and professional wine service to our guests. You will also be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of beverage service in the restaurant.

Your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Advise guests on the selection of wines and other beverages, helping them make informed decisions based on their individual tastes and preferences;
• Ensure that all wines and beverages are served at the correct temperature;
• Provide wine pairing suggestions to complement each course;
• Create weekly wine lists, tasting menus and signature cocktails;
• Monitor stock levels, anticipate customer needs and order supplies as needed;
• Responsible for ensuring all wines are stored properly in accordance with industry standards;
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current food trends, new products and current wine production methods;
• Educate staff members on wine and beverage service techniques;
• Assist in setting up various events such as wine tastings, dinners etc.

Qualifications:
• At least 1 year experience as a Sommelier or similar position in a fine dining restaurant or equivalent environment;
• Proven ability to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with customers;
• Excellent knowledge of wines from around the world, including grape varietals, regions, production methods etc.;
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail;
• Fluency in English is essential. Other languages are an advantage.
