Job Summary:
The Librarian is responsible for managing the library’s collection of books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and other materials. The Librarian’s primary responsibility is to provide reference services to patrons seeking research assistance. The Librarian will also assist with cataloging materials and developing programming for library patrons.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field.
• Three years of experience working as a librarian.
• Knowledge of cataloging systems and library database software programs such as Horizon or SirsiDynix systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties & Responsibilities: • Manage the library’s collection of books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, archival material, and other materials. • Provide reference services to patrons seeking research assistance or information about library holdings. • Assist with cataloging materials using standard classification systems such as the Dewey Decimal System or Library of Congress Classification System. • Develop programming for library patrons such as book clubs or story time activities for children. • Assist with training new staff members on library procedures and policies. • Monitor computer usage in the library and ensure that users are following the terms of service agreement.
