Librarian – Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

We are looking for a dynamic and highly organized individual to join our team as a Librarian in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will provide library services by managing and organizing the library's collections, cataloguing and shelving new materials, tracking usage statistics, and responding to patron inquiries.

Responsibilities:
• Maintaining the library’s collections, including books, periodicals and other materials.
• Cataloguing new books and other materials in accordance with standard library protocols
• Tracking usage of library materials such as books, videos and other resources.
• Establishing relationships with publishers/vendors for new book purchases.
• Developing reference materials in support of research activities.
• Assisting patrons with finding information both in print and online resources.
• Developing educational programs for children and adults on various topics related to literature or research.
• Keeping track of overdue items.
• Assisting patrons with computer applications such as word processing or database use.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree in Library Science preferred but not required
• Excellent organizational skills; detail-oriented mindset
• Ability to build relationships with vendors/publishers
• Proficient computer skills (word processing; database use; etc.)

Salary: 1700 AED/Month (We are ready to consider a foreigner).
