Job Summary:

We are looking for a Librarian to join our team at the Abu-Dhabi branch of our library. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the library staff and patrons, maintain the library collections, and ensure that all aspects of library operations are managed efficiently and effectively. This position offers a competitive salary of 1500 AED per month. We are also ready to consider an immigrant looking to apply for this role.

Responsibilities:

The Librarian will be expected to carry out a variety of duties including cataloging items in the collection, providing reference services to patrons both in person and via phone or email; managing circulation activities such as issuing cards; organizing reading clubs; creating displays; monitoring computer usage; overseeing interlibrary loan services; maintaining records of materials borrowed and returned; training volunteers and interns; supervising other staff members; ordering new materials for the collection; participating in outreach activities in local schools or community organizations.

Job Requirements:
We are looking for an individual with 1 year of experience working in a public or academic library setting. Candidates should have excellent customer service skills as well as strong attention to detail. Good knowledge of Library Information Systems is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate should be organized and able to multitask while meeting deadlines. Knowledge of Arabic language would be an asset but is not mandatory.
