Compensation: 1200 AED/Monthly

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Librarian to join our library team in El-Fujairah, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library resources and providing excellent customer service to patrons.

The ideal candidate should have an extensive knowledge of library science, as well as experience using library-specific software. A strong understanding of the latest technology and a commitment to staying up-to-date with trends in the field are essential.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the circulation of materials, including books, periodicals, electronic media, audiovisual materials, etc.
• Provide assistance to patrons searching for information in both traditional and digital formats
• Update and maintain records related to library materials
• Assist patrons in utilizing audio/visual equipment
• Compile bibliographies when necessary
• Develop collection development strategies to ensure that the library’s resources remain current and relevant
• Organize interlibrary loan requests when needed
• Supervise student workers or volunteers assisting in library operations

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field required
• Experience working in a public or academic library setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of current cataloging standards (e.g., AACR2)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard computer systems
