The primary responsibility of a Librarian is to manage the library resources and collections, in order to ensure that patrons have easy access to accurate information. The jobholder will be responsible for organizing library materials according to established cataloguing systems; providing reference services; maintaining library databases; responding to patron requests; creating lists of new library materials; developing reading programs; delivering presentations related to library services and activities; ensuring adherence to security protocols, copyright laws and other regulations; handling inquiries from patrons; supervising staff members; maintaining records of library use; ensuring proper maintenance of the library space; ordering new books and other materials as required, etc.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have at least 2 years' experience working as a Librarian or in a related field. They should also be knowledgeable about cataloguing systems, classification procedures, copyright laws and regulations related to libraries. Moreover, they should possess excellent organizational skills as well as strong customer service skills in order to respond effectively and efficiently when dealing with patrons' queries or requests. Finally, candidates must have good IT skills in order to maintain databases accurately and use computerized systems efficiently.
