Job Title: Sommelier
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Salary: 900 AED per month

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sommelier to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, selecting and providing advice and guidance on all aspects of wine service. This position requires a person who is creative, organized, and has excellent customer service skills.

The ideal candidate should have:
• At least two years of experience as a sommelier in a restaurant or hotel setting;
• A strong understanding of the principles of wine production, tasting, pairing and storage;
• An extensive knowledge of different types of wines from around the world;
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide comprehensive information on wine selection and preparation to customers;
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy environment;
• The ability to think quickly on their feet and remain calm under pressure.
• A valid work permit for Dubai is preferred but not essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the wine cellar, ensuring that all wines are stored properly, selecting wines for events or menus, suggesting wines to customers based on their preferences, providing advice on food pairings with wines, training staff on different types of wines and their characteristics, organizing tastings or wine dinners and maintaining records of all purchases. The Sommelier will also keep up-to-date with industry trends by attending trade shows or seminars when required.
